End of day one. Finished in Pontiac, IL. 6:15 PM. Sign at beginning of route 66 in Chicago was removed last week for construction so we took pics of the end instead. Start out backwards. Surprized? Pics of old gas stations, I have a new friend (BIG GUY). Chrome Bean was really cool.
Tomorrow will finish Illinois and move on to Missouri. Back tomorrow

    Still can't believe you paid $40 to park so you could see a big metal bean and eat a hot dog you had to stand in line for an hour to get.

    It's a bean, Dad. A bean.

    The rocket guy's kinda cool, though. Bet you didn't have to pay to park and see him. :)

    Hope you guys are having an absolute ball...or should that be bean? hahahahahaha.
