Day 11 on the road.  A whole lot of desert (Mojave)  see for miles (nothing to see)

Stopped in Glendora, CA to say hello to a friend of Tammys.  We are spending tonight

Pasadena, CA.   ^Tomorrow we have lunch with an old friend from my flagmaking life.

We did the Olympics together  Summer & Winter 1984 (LA & Yugoslavia. Will stay in

Huntington Beach tomorrow night and finish Route 66 in Santa Monica Saturday early

AM to avoid traffic.   Told the Mother we're spoiled about traffic.  Nothing at home even

comes close to the caos (spelling) out here. Couldn't do it every day.  After we finish Sat

AM we head north toward San Fran.  Pics tomorrow on the big finish.  It feels like we've

been gone forever.
